Karen Bartuch

VP of Brand Marketing

Dr. Karen Bartuch (she/her/hers) is leading Brand Marketing at SpotHero, joining from Amazon where she led Brand, Digital, and Go-To-Market teams. She is passionate about creating genuine and meaningful connections between brands and customers – focusing on research and data to uncover meaningful insights, human-centric storytelling, and creating delightful customer experiences. Karen is also an adjunct professor teaching innovation and design at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.

Karen’s career spans over 20 years in the public and private sectors serving on the Chicago Police Department, Motorola Solutions, PwC, and as an advisor to startups. In these roles she led various efforts including policy, communications, marketing, business development, digital, and research and customer insights.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University, a Master’s degree in Communications and a doctorate in Business Administration. Karen’s research and writing interests include creativity, innovation, gender, and humor (view her Tedx on this topic here).
