Ray Lane

Advisor at Spring Labs

Ray Lane is currently an advisor at Spring Labs. Ray has a long and impressive history with various companies, most notably Tinder, Inc. from July 2014 to June 2018, where they worked as a backend engineer. While at Tinder, Inc., Ray investigated graph colorability using polynomial ideals. Prior to their work at Tinder, Inc., Ray was a summer undergraduate research fellow at Caltech from June 2013 to August 2013, where they again investigated graph colorability using polynomial ideals. From July 2012 to September 2012, Ray was a college intern (technical) at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where they developed a prototype of a peer-to-peer satellite communications system in MATLAB. Ray has also been a counselor at MathPath from June 2012 to July 2012, where they herded nine mathematically gifted middle school students for four weeks while teaching them useful life skills like Rubik's Cubing and K-pop dancing, and learning even more useful skills like Legend of Korra and piano. Lastly, Ray was a delegate for the World Cube Association.

Ray Lane received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Caltech.
