Chip Witt

Head, Product Strategy at SpyCloud

Chip Witt is the current head of product strategy at SpyCloud. Prior to their current position, Witt served as the director of threat detection product management at Appthority from March 2017 to March 2018. In this role, Witt worked with the Appthority security research organization to develop the Threat Detection Engine, which is used to generate Threat Management policies. Witt also collaborated with customers, internal stakeholders, and industry analysts to develop user stories and priorities that drove agile development and facilitated the delivery of Mobile Threat Protection services.

From November 2015 to March 2017, Witt served as the Senior Product Manager for Threat Intelligence at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). In this role, Witt oversaw a team of Security Researchers specializing in malware analysis, OSINT and HUMINT tradecraft, actor attribution, and underground monitoring. Witt was also responsible for HPE Security Threat Central, a cloud-based subscription service that enables security analysts to create and leverage actionable threat intelligence through collaboration with other security experts worldwide.

Prior to their time at HPE, Witt served as a Senior Product Manager for Threat Intelligence at HP from January 2015 to October 2015.

Chip Witt received an MBA in Strategic Leadership from Dominican University of California and a BS in Biology with a Chemistry minor from Dominican University of California. Chip also has a certification from the Pragmatic Institute in PMC Level II.
