Salman Ahmad Miet

Salman Ahmad MIET is a Protection and Control Engineer at SSE plc since September 2021, focusing on projects from conception to energisation within the southern patch of the network. Previously, Salman participated in a rotation-based Distribution Engineer scheme to develop diverse experience across teams and insights into Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), an initiative accredited by the IET. Prior to SSE, Salman completed a 12-month industrial placement as a P&C Design Engineer with Siemens, self-organized through the Power Academy scheme. Salman earned an MEng in Mechatronic Engineering with Industrial Experience from The University of Manchester from September 2016 to June 2021 and completed A levels and GCSEs at Stretford Grammar School and Sixth Form from 2009 to 2016.
