Matt Petchsy

Matt Petchsy is currently the Head of Business Development Japan at SSE Pacifico, a Joint Ownership Company formed by SSE Renewables and Pacifico Energy, since September 2022. Prior experience includes a role in Business Development at Iberdrola Renovables from 2018 to September 2022, where a rebranding took place from Acacia Renewables. Matt Petchsy also served as a Senior Manager at AIG from 2015 to 2018, focusing on enterprise transformation projects, and held the position of Assistant Director at EY from 2012 to 2015, specializing in finance transformation and project management. Prior roles include Manager at Continental, dealing with financial management and project oversight, and Analyst at Macquarie Group, emphasizing capital raising and financial modeling, along with a brief tenure as a Summer Associate at Shinsei Bank. Educationally, Matt Petchsy holds a Cert.HE in Law from the University of London, an International MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University, an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Reading, and an Honours BA in Economics from the University of Toronto, with an academic exchange completed at Keio University.
