John A. Pyle

John Pyle is the senior vice president for enrollment management and athletics at St. Catherine University. In this role, Pyle oversees admission, financial aid, athletics, and institutional research across the University’s three colleges. He is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic enrollment plan for the University, growing enrollment, strengthening retention, and increasing awareness of the University’s program offerings.

Prior to joining St. Kate’s, Pyle served as the chief innovation officer and vice president of enrollment at Webster University. In this role, his responsibilities included the areas of admission, enrollment technology, registrar, and financial aid across the Webster global network along with operations for Webster’s online learning center and the university’s military and metro locations throughout the United States. Pyle also led the extension of the university’s business model along with expansion efforts into new markets and partnerships across the globe.

Pyle also served as the executive vice president at the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, where he led admission, athletics, financial aid, marketing, online delivery, and campus services. Additionally, he was responsible for the annual operational plan and the advancement of the university’s strategic objectives and was instrumental in guiding Saint Mary’s expansion in Rochester, MN, to support collaboration with the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences. Pyle has held other leadership roles in higher education, including vice president for enrollment and marketing at Hamline University and senior vice president at Aurora University.

Pyle holds a doctorate in leadership from Saint Mary’s University and a master’s degree in education from Immaculata University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at Kutztown University. In addition, Pyle completed the Institute for Educational Management at the Harvard Institute for Higher Education.
