Vinay Aggarwal

Vinay Aggarwal, CFA, serves as the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Credit Officer for Europe at Standard Chartered Bank, leading the credit risk function for Corporate, Institutional, and Commercial Banking across the region since August 2006. Previously, Vinay held roles including Chief Credit Officer for the Middle East and Country Credit Officer for UAE and Oman, overseeing significant credit risk operations in these areas. With earlier experience as a Senior Credit Officer in India for SCB and as Vice President of Credit at Axis Bank, Vinay specialized in the Pharma, Chemicals, and Sugar sectors. Vinay began a career in finance at Unit Trust Of India Asset Management Company, working in equity research and fund management. Educational qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and a B. Tech in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, alongside a leadership program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
