Russ Jacobs

Russ Jacobs is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and public policy. Currently, Russ serves as director, managing corporate counsel for Intellectual Property at Starbucks, a position held since February 2022. Prior experience includes teaching as Law Faculty at the University of Washington School of Law from September 2017 to September 2023, and serving as General Counsel and Chief Public Policy Officer for the National CASA/GAL Association for Children from 2019 to February 2022. Previous roles at Starbucks spanned nearly a decade, including positions as director and corporate counsel. Russ began a legal career at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP as an associate and gained initial experience as a legal intern with the NHL. Academic credentials include a JD from Columbia Law School and a Professional Certificate in Spanish Community Interpreting from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
