Martin Butt

Martin Butt's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Martin is currently the VP of Engineering at Stardust since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Electronic Arts (EA) starting from 2015. At EA, they held multiple positions, including Head of Technology, Senior Technical Director, Director of Software Engineering, and Senior Manager of Software Engineering. During their time at EA, Martin was responsible for leading engineering teams, managing budgets, and delivering successful projects, resulting in significant revenue.

Before joining EA, Martin worked at Kiva.org as a Principal Software Engineer and later as an Engineering Manager. Martin also co-founded Recell Your Battery, where they served as the CTO and co-founder, and at Get Ahead, where they were the Founder and Principal. Additionally, Martin worked as a Technical Consultant at The Victoria and Albert Museum and as a Founder and Franchise Developer at The Yellow Van Company.

Earlier in their career, Martin founded and served as the CTO of GlassBox, a start-up developing a rapid geo-location app platform. Martin also worked as an Engineering Manager at Limitless Internet Solutions and as a Freelance Software Engineer.

Martin Butt has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science & Cybernetics from the University of Reading. Prior to that, they completed their A-Levels in Computing, Electronics, Psychology, and Philosophy at Ilford County High Grammar School for Boys. In terms of additional certifications, Martin obtained a Scrum Master certification from Mountain Goat Software in September 2022 and a Project Management certification from EQV (UK) Ltd in April 2007.
