Evangelos Karagiannis

Evangelos Karagiannis is an experienced Information Security Analyst currently working at Starling Bank since July 2024, following a similar role at Castle Trust Bank from April 2020 to June 2024. Prior to these positions, Evangelos contributed to cybersecurity research as an Associate Researcher on the ECHO project at Bournemouth University from March 2017 to February 2023, which focused on enhancing cyber defense across the European Union. Evangelos has also held roles including Information Security Administrator, Researcher, and Demonstrator at Bournemouth University and has experience in IT support from positions at SingularLogic, self-employment, and military service in the Greek Army. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Digital Systems Security and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology & Telecommunications, both from the University of Piraeus.
