Joanne Rice Mpa

JoAnne Rice MPA, CFO, currently serves as the Director for the State of Florida, overseeing various aspects of fire service including the Bureau of Fire Training and Standards and Domestic Security. With a robust background in fire service leadership, JoAnne served as Interim Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief at Gainesville Fire Rescue from 2012 to 2021, and held multiple roles including District Chief from 2002 to 2012. JoAnne holds a Master of Public Administration from Barry University, along with several associate degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services from Central Florida Community College and Santa Fe Community College, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina @ Spartanburg.
