John Beyer

John Beyer, MSW, LCSW-C, CDP, currently serves as the Director of Social Work and Wellness at Ginger Cove since March 2022 and is also a Geriatric Social Work Representative appointed by the Governor of Maryland for a four-year term with the State Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators. As an Adjunct Associate Professor at Howard Community College, John teaches courses on aging while also fulfilling the role of Graduate Social Work Field Instructor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work since 1993. Previous experience includes positions such as Clinical Social Worker at Broadmead, Inc., and Director of Social Work at ACTS Fairhaven CCRC. John earned an MSW in Adult Services with a focus on Aging from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, and Music from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
