Thibaut Perol

VP of Engineering at StormForge

Thibaut Perol is the VP of Engineering at StormForge. Thibaut was previously a Graduate Research Assistant at Harvard University, where they worked on deep learning for time series classification and event detection. Thibaut also worked on a side project on energy optimization in houses using deep learning. Thibaut has published 10 papers in top-tier journals.

Thibaut began their educational career by attending the Lycée Marcelin Berthelot, a high school in France. Thibaut then went on to study at the Ecole normale supérieure, where they earned their ENS diploma in geosciences. Thibaut continued their studies at Harvard University, where they earned a Master's degree in applied mathematics, followed by a PhD in applied mathematics & computational science and engineering. While at Harvard, Thibaut also spent some time as a special student / visiting fellow in the Earth and Planetary Sciences department. Before earning their PhD, Thibaut also completed an international master's program in exploration geophysics at the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris / Mines Paristech.

They are on a team with Sean Wesenberg - Director of Engineering, John Platt - VP, Machine Learning, and Aaron Godin - Senior Software Engineer. Brad Beam - Senior Software Engineer, Olivia Aimua - IT Operations Lead, and Nikolay Kolev - Senior Software Engineer report to Thibaut Perol. Thibaut Perol reports to Patrick Bergstrom, Chief Technology Officer.
