Steve Schiller

Steven Schiller has over thirty years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on demand-side energy efficiency, renewables and independent power. He has been a senior manager or CEO of three energy engineering and project management firms, including his own which was sold to an international energy and technology company. Steve’s career has included senior management, engineering, research and project management roles. He has had an active role in the development and implementation of independent power, distributed energy resources, and demand side management projects across the United States. Steve is an advisor and Board Director for private companies delivering innovative grid edge solutions. He also provides alternative dispute resolution services for the energy industry.

Prior to starting Schiller Consulting, Steve was a Senior Vice President of Nexant, Inc. Nexant acquired Steve’s firm, Schiller Associates, Inc. Schiller Associates was a project management and energy-engineering firm with offices in Northern and Southern California, Boulder, Houston, Madison and Portland, OR. Before launching Schiller Associates, Steve was a successful manager, project developer, and engineer with two independent power firms and a staff scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Steve holds Mechanical Engineering degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is also a registered Mechanical Engineer in California.
