Michael Carley

Michael Carley is currently a Partner Solutions Engineer at StreamSets. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Solutions Engineer at Oracle from January 2015 to June 2018. In this role, they provided direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology to client businesses, facilitated customer product understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks, and acted as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Carley also focused on large or complex sales opportunities that needed creative and complex solutions, developed productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants, and led any and all aspects of the technical sales process.

Before their time at Oracle, Carley worked as a Business Development Representative at MicroStrategy from December 2012 to December 2014. In this role, they advised internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. Prior to that, they worked as a Media Consultant at hibu from September 2011 to September 2012.

Michael Carley has a Masters of Science in Public Affairs & Lobbying from Brunel University London. Michael also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western New England University. In addition, they have certification from Atlassian in Jira and Confluence Together Badge, Oracle in Oracle Infrastructure as a Service Certified Implementation Specialist, CompTIA in Security+, PSI Examination Svc in AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, and Oracle in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2018 Certified Architect Associate.

They work with Alejandro Sánchez Cabana - Senior Java Software Engineer, Teresa Letlow - VP, Cloud & ISV, and Virag Kothari - Staff Software Engineer. Michael Carley reports to Arvind Prabhakar, Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer.
