Flora Tasse

Head of Computer Vision Research at Streem

Flora Tasse is the head of Computer Vision Research at Streem. Flora has also served as the co-founder and CTO of Selerio, a company that extracts geometric and semantic information from images and videos to enable context-aware Mixed Reality. Prior to their work at Selerio, Tasse was a research intern at Microsoft, where they worked on reconstructing and tracking hand poses using depth images from multiple sensors. Tasse has also served as a research supervisor at the University of Cambridge, supervising final year research projects such as "Sketch-based 3D Modelling via Inflation of 2D Drawings" and "Mesh to voxel transformation for optimised physics-based interactions". In addition to their research experience, Tasse has also worked as a software engineering intern at Google and an iOS developer at afrozaar. Finally, Tasse has also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Cape Town.

Flora Tasse is a computer science academic who has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor of Science Honours from Rhodes University. Flora also has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Buea. In addition to their academic credentials, Flora Tasse has also completed a certification in web development from Udacity.

Flora Tasse works with John Fontaine - UI Visual Designer, Jessica Willis - Software Engineer, and Trey Trahin - Platform Engineering Manager. and Ghislain Tasse - Director of Computer Vision & ML reports to Flora Tasse. Flora Tasse reports to Sean Adkinson, CTO & Co-Founder.
