Pamela Shen

Head of Platform, Customer Experience at Stripe

Pamela Shen is the Head of Platform, Customer Experience at Stripe. Prior to joining Stripe, Pamela was the General Manager, Premium Network at AOL Platforms from October 2011 to May 2015. In this role, Pamela was responsible for strategy, revenue and operations for AOL's third-party premium (high impact, rich media and vertical) display ad network and programmatic platforms.

Pamela's strategy work focused on managing the team responsible for the end-to-end process of the premium publisher network and programmatic platforms, as well as developing business models to help cross-functional teams assess value of opportunities. Pamela also analyzed data to understand publisher supply and develop growth opportunities for new formats and ad products (viewability, mobile, etc). Additionally, Pamela identified sales and publisher opportunities and built solutions.

In terms of operations, Pamela built scalable processes for sales to pitch/deliver campaigns and for publishers to be on-boarded. Pamela also developed positioning of products and ensured creation of advertiser and publisher collateral. Pamela worked with cross-functional teams of Product, Marketing, Sales, Publisher Sales, and Operations for new product/feature roll-outs. Furthermore, they trained Sales to drive product adoption and operational teams to support. Lastly, Pamela managed day-to-day operations and delivery of campaigns.

Pamela Shen graduated from Yale University with a BA in Economics and East Asian Studies. Pamela then studied Level 4 Mandarin at Beijing Normal University through the Princeton in Beijing program.
