Angel Peña

Angel Peña is an accomplished transportation leader currently serving as the Vice President and Rail & Transit Leader at STV, overseeing operations across multiple states in the Texas/Mountain Region since October 2023. Previously, Angel held prominent positions at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), including Chief of Capital Transformation, where responsibilities included managing a portfolio of 105 capital projects valued at $10 billion to enhance safety and service across various transit lines. Prior experience also includes leadership roles at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), where Angel managed quality assurance and compliance functions, and supported operational processes affecting over 850,000 daily passengers. A Civil Engineering graduate from Universidad Yacambú and holder of a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from The School of Engineering at Catholic University, Angel combines strong technical expertise with a proven track record in transit system revitalization.
