Steve Groves-Kirkby

Steve Groves-Kirkby is an experienced Multi-Skilled Technical Operator currently with STV Group plc since June 2023. Previously, Steve held positions at the BBC, including Principal Technical Operator for BBC South Today, where responsibilities included directing and vision mixing live news bulletins, and Senior Technical Operator overseeing various technical operations. Prior experience includes roles at ITN as a Sound Mixer for live news, and a foundational training contract with the BBC, selected from over 850 applicants. Additional roles include a Research Assistant at the University of Salford, a Family Room Specialist at Apple, and a Student Placement at Dolby Laboratories. Steve holds an MSc in Audio Production from The University of Salford and a BSc (Hons) in Sound Technology and Digital Music from Oxford Brookes University.
