Aurora Hollo

Aurora Hollo currently serves as the Global Chief Medical Officer at Sun Life since August 2020 and has been involved with CLIMOA since May 2019, contributing as a member of the Scientific Committee. Prior experience includes a role as VP and Medical Manager at Swiss Reinsurance from July 2017 to August 2020, and serving as President of the Canadian Life Insurance Medical Officers Association from May 2018 to May 2019. Aurora Hollo's extensive background also includes over 15 years as a Medical Director at Manulife Financial, where responsibilities encompassed coaching teams, organizing medical case clinics, and reviewing medical investigations. Additionally, Aurora Hollo has worked as a Medical Consultant and Underwriting Consultant, actively training underwriters and participating in industry seminars. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Targu-Mures, Romania, along with completion of the AAIM Basic Methodology and Mortality Course.
