Aaron McDonald

Aaron McDonald serves as the Director of Enterprise Asset Integrity at Suncor since May 2005, leading a team of senior technical experts in Mechanical Integrity, Materials Engineering, and Inspection Engineering across Suncor’s assets in Canada and the US. Responsibilities include overseeing mechanical and materials technical standards, engineering practice, competence development, and the technical authority program. Previous roles at Suncor include Manager of Regional Asset Integrity and Reliability Engineering Manager for Energy and Utilities and Hydrotreating, focusing on asset integrity and reliability for various plant operations. Prior to Suncor, Aaron McDonald gained engineering experience at Jacobs, Toromont Energy Systems, and Revolve Technologies Inc. Aaron McDonald holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria, obtained between 1991 and 1996.
