George Kao

George Kao is the SVP Operations at Supermicro. George has previously served as the VP of Operations at Pericom from October 2006 to September 2016, the Vice President of Operations at Altima Semiconductor from September 1999 to October 2000, and the Director of Asia Operations and Manufacturing Engineering at Synaptics from December 1994 to September 1999. George has also served as the COO at Orient Semiconductor Electronics, Philippines from September 2003 to March 2006, the VP of Manufacturing at Foveon from January 2000 to December 2003, and the Product/Test Engineering Manager at Weitek Corporation from November 1987 to December 1992. George began their career as a Product Engineer at National/Fairchild Semiconductor from January 1984 to December 1987.

George Kao earned their BS in Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

They work with Sara Liu - Co-Founder, Senior Vice President, and Director, Michael McNerney - VP Software Solutions and Network Security, and David Weigand - SVP, Chief Compliance Officer. Their manager is Charles Liang, Founder, President, Chairman & CEO.
