Laurie Stelzer

Laurie Stelzer is the current Director at Surface Oncology. Prior to this, they served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Arena Pharmaceuticals from March 2020 to May 2022. Before Arena Pharmaceuticals, Laurie was with Surface Oncology Inc. Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. from June 2015 to March 2020 where they served as Chief Financial Officer. From March 2012 to January 2015, Laurie was with Shire Pharmaceuticals as Senior Vice President Finance - R&D, Technical Operations and Business Development where they were head of the Finance Business Partner Team supporting R&D, Technical Operations and Business Development transactions. Laurie started their career at Amgen in January 1997 as Manager, Sr. Manager of FP&A and was quickly promoted to Vice President, Finance in January 2002 and Acting Treasurer in July 2011. Laurie left Amgen in March 2012 to join Shire Pharmaceuticals.

Laurie Stelzer has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Accounting from Arizona State University. Laurie also has a degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
