Beth Turner is a General Partner at [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). Prior to joining, Beth ran operations and invested with a family office focused on seed stage opportunities, investing in companies such as [Clover Health](/org/clover-health), [Flatiron Health](/org/flatiron-health), LifeLock, and [Blue Apron](/org/blue-apron). Prior to this, Beth was managing director of a consulting firm and worked with an international NGO with an operational focus in East Africa. Prior to this, Beth was an early employee at the ad-tech startup Adaptly and worked with one of Israel's first startups, Netafim. She is a Siemens Westinghouse Scholar, has spoken at TEDx and The World Space Conference, the youngest person to ever record an asteroid occultation, and a musician (performing the national anthem for NBA/NFL, with the [Houston Grand Opera](/org/houston-grand-opera), and on an album with Albany records). Beth graduated from MIT with a major in Civil and Environmental Engineering and minors in Physics and Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS).

Robert Pollak is an advisor at [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). Robert has over fifteen years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel), Robert was a private wealth management at [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley). Robert also served as the CFO and director of The MaccaNOW Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to low-income individuals and families affected by cancer. Robert began their career as a legal assistant at Arnold & Porter LLP. Robert has a deep understanding of the financial industry and is passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals.

Robert Pollak's educational career began with him receiving their BA in Economics and Foreign Affairs from the [University of Virginia](/org/university-of-virginia). Robert then went on to receive their German Abitur from The German School Washington D.C.

Ashvin Bachireddy is Managing Partner of [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel) Growth. He has nearly twenty years of venture capital and technology experience. Ashvin was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 venture capitalists in the world by his inclusion in the 2021 Midas List. In 2019, he was recognized as one of venture capital’s up-and-comers by his inclusion in the Forbes Midas Brink List. Prior to [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel), Ashvin was a co-founder of [Geodesic Capital](/org/geodesic-capital) where he led investments in [Airbnb](/org/airbnb) (NASDAQ: ABNB), Confluent (NASDAQ: CFLT), [Databricks](/org/databricks), Duo Security (acq by CSCO), [Figma](/org/figma), [Forethought](/org/forethought), [HashiCorp](/org/hashi) (NASDAQ: HCP), [Looker](/org/looker) (acq by GOOGL), [Marqeta](/org/marqeta) (NASDAQ: MQ), [Netskope](/org/netskope), Pendo, Snapchat (NYSE: SNAP), [Snyk](/org/snyk), [Tanium](/org/tanium), Thoughtspot, [Vercel](/org/vercel), [UiPath](/org/uipath) (NYSE: PATH) and [Workato](/org/workato). Prior to [Geodesic Capital](/org/geodesic-capital), Ashvin was the Head of Growth Stage Investing at [Andreessen Horowitz](/org/andreessen-horowitz). He was actively involved with [Andreessen Horowitz](/org/andreessen-horowitz)’s investments in Box (NYSE: BOX), Facebook (NASDAQ: FB), [Fanatics](/org/fanatics), Github (acq by MSFT), Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) and [Zulily](/org/zulily-llc). Prior to [Andreessen Horowitz](/org/andreessen-horowitz), Ashvin was a venture capital investor at [Lightspeed Venture Partners](/org/lightspeed), 3i Group and [JMI Equity](/org/jmi-equity) where he was involved with investments at all stages spanning broadly across technology. Earlier in his career Ashvin was in the investment banking division at Montgomery & Co. and Salomon Smith Barney. Ashvin received a B.S. in Management Science from the University of California at San Diego.

Ron Conway is the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). Ron has been an active angel investor since the mid 90’s. He was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Angel Investors LP funds (1998-2005). He was included in 2010’s Vanity Fair 100 most influential people in the Information Age. He was awarded Best Angel at The 2009 TechCrunch Crunchies Awards. He was named #13 in Forbes Magazine Midas list of top "deal-makers" in 2011. Ron was with National Semiconductor Corporation in marketing positions (1973-1979), [Altos](/org/altos-inc) Computer Systems as a co-founder, President and CEO (1979-1990) and took [Altos](/org/altos-inc) public on Nasdaq in 1982 and served as CEO of Personal Training Systems (PTS) (1991-1995). PTS was acquired by SmartForce/SkillSoft (Nasdaq SKIL).

Philanthropically, Ron is a Board Member of the Salesforce.com Foundation, a member of the UCSF Medical Center Chancellor's Advisory Board in SF, and is active in fundraising for the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, [College Track](/org/college-track), Sandy Hook Promise-Newtown CT, Americans for Responsible Solutions-Gabby Giffords, Smart Tech Challenges Foundation, and the THORN Foundation. Ron is an advocate for technology companies and civic engagement in San Francisco and founder of sf.citi (San Francisco's tech-backed civic organization). Ron is also an advocate for immigration reform and a co-founder of FWD.US.

Steven Lee is a Partner at [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). As a member of Twitter’s Global Market Insight & Analytics team, Steven was one of the first employees focused on monetization analytics. He partnered with Fortune Global 500 companies, like LG and Samsung, to analyze and optimize return on investment, and worked on measuring Twitter’s platform usage for key real‐time events, including the Super Bowl and World Cup. During his four years with the team, Steven helped to grow the group to over 50 people, in offices spanning 11 countries. Following his time at Twitter, Steven was an investor at [Bain Capital Ventures](/org/bain-capital-ventures) and [Correlation Ventures](/org/correlation-ventures). Over the course of his tenure he was responsible for sourcing and diligencing more than 25 companies that led to early-stage investments for the firms, including [Clockwise](/org/clockwise) and [Manticore Games](/org/manticore-games), alongside [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). While at [Bain Capital Ventures](/org/bain-capital-ventures), Steven also developed and led their data-driven sourcing efforts, resulting in three new seed investments during the program’s first year. Steven graduated from [New York University](/org/nyu) with a degree in Economics. During his time as a student at NYU, he worked multiple part-time jobs to self-finance his education, and was a member of the NCAA Fencing team. Steven is a member of USA for [UNHCR](/org/unhcr)’s Humanitarian Coalition. He is the proud son of two immigrants from South Korea and grew up in Los Angeles’ Koreatown district.

Topher Conway is a Co-Managing Partner of SV Angel. Topher joined SV Angel in 2009, coming from a background in Business Development and Sales at EQAL. At SV Angel, he works particularly close with Flexport, Dapper Labs, Stripe, BetterUp, Coinbase, DoorDash, and Deel. He was included in Forbes Magazine's 30 Under 30 in 2015. Topher studied History at UCLA and is a member of the UCLA VC Fund, helping foster entrepreneurship at the University. Philanthropically, Topher is involved in a wide range of organizations including Family House, College Track, THORN Foundation, Giffords.org, TGR Foundation, and Team RWB.

Elisa Mac is an Executive Assistant at [SV Angel](/org/sv-angel). Her responsibilities include supporting the Co-Managing Partner, as well as the investments team. Elisa is eager to share her energy and passion to support the firm with over ten years of customer service experience. Previously, she worked as Executive Assistant to the President of Zydowsky Consultants LLC & Chief Science Officer of Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc. Before her time at Zydowsky Consultants LLC, Elisa worked as the Operations Manager at Louis Vuitton Client Services for North America. Elisa received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from [UC Davis](/org/uc-davis-transplant-center) in Design with an emphasis on Textiles and Visual Communications.

The board of directors at SV Angel has a wide range of experience in different industries and fields. The current CFO and Director, for example, has experience in both the non-profit sector with The MaccaNOW Foundation and private wealth management with Morgan Stanley. Another member of the board is a legal assistant with Arnold & Porter LLP. All members of the board have completed at least an undergraduate degree, with many holding higher degrees from universities such as the University of Virginia.
