Ingrid Uppelschoten is the current Chief Operating Officer at Svitzer. Ingrid has held this position since November 2020.

Prior to their current role, Ms. Uppelschoten served as the Vice President and Global Head of Equipment at A.P. Moller - Maersk from September 2001 to November 2020. In this role, they were globally responsible for managing the largest Equipment fleet in the world, meaning they oversaw all facets of the container's lifetime from the moment the need and requirements were forecasted until the moment they were outfleeted with dedicated sales channels.

Ms. Uppelschoten has also previously served as the SER Topvrouwen.

Ms. Uppelschoten's leadership style is characterized by building trust and confidence in people so they can be the best and most authentic version of themselves. Being challenged while being supported allows people to learn and grow so best results are being delivered. Ingrid Uppelschoten has a degree in Economics & Languages from HZ University of Applied Sciences, and a VWO from Anton van Duinkerken. Ingrid also did an exchange program at University of Plymouth. Currently, they are doing a General Management program at Nyenrode Business University.
