Julia van der Heide

Julia van der Heide is an experienced advisor specializing in waste management and circularity at Sweco since May 2023. Previously, Julia held the position of Advisor Strategy & Decision-making at Antea Group Nederland, focusing on various projects related to participation trajectories, recyclability, climate adaptation, and Sustainable Development Goals for diverse clients. As a Youth Environmental Policy Advisor for Jongerenmilieuraad, Julia ensured the representation of Dutch youth opinions in national environmental policy. Julia also worked as a Research Assistant at Wageningen University & Research, studying the impact of food item information on consumer behavior, and served as a Student Tutor in public speaking. Earlier roles include Assistant Project Manager for a sustainable waste management project in India and various positions as a waitress. Julia has a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in International Development Studies, with additional studies in Social Sciences at Sabanci University.
