Alena Sahlqvist

Alena Sahlqvist, CPA, currently serves as the Head of Strategic Development at Swedbank, overseeing Business Development, Fund Transfer Pricing, Financial Reporting, control, and analytics within Group Treasury since February 2019. Prior experience includes key roles at Nordea, where Alena led PL and BS Applications and was responsible for hedge accounting and compliance with IFRS 9, and at Ernst & Young AB as an Assurance Manager, managing financial statement audits and regulatory compliance for financial entities. Alena's career also encompasses positions at PwC and Grant Thornton LLP, with foundational expertise gained through internships in taxation and business advisory services. Alena holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College.
