Leanne Baxter

Head of People at Swift Shift

Leanne Baxter has worked in the field of corporate social responsibility for over a decade. Leanne began their career as a strategic advisor for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, before moving to Circle Housing as Group Director of Sustainable Communities. In this role, they were responsible for Circle Housing's work with disadvantaged communities, including people with mental health issues, ex-offenders, and refugees.

In 2011, Baxter became Managing Director of Catalyst Housing Limited, a housing association specializing in providing affordable homes for low-income households. During their time at Catalyst, they oversaw the development of over 1,000 new homes and won several awards for their work in the field of social housing.

In 2014, Baxter left Catalyst to join Barclays as a Global Programmes Consultant. In this role, they were responsible for Barclays' flagship global partnership with UNICEF, which supported 90,000 young entrepreneurs across 6 countries. Under Baxter's tenure, the partnership won several prestigious awards, including the Charity Times Award for Best Corporate and NGO Partnership and the Business in the Community Award for The Unilever Global Development Award. The programmes they oversaw were also featured in major international media outlets such as the Sunday Times, The New York Times, CNN, and The Huffington Post.

Baxter left Barclays in 2016 to set up their own consultancy business. In 2018, they rejoined Swift Shift as Head of People.

Leanne Baxter has a BA Hons in Politics from the University of the West of Scotland and Douglas Academy.
