About the role

We’re starting to build out our marketing team and looking for our first content marketer to contribute to the vision and shape the reality of how teams work together as more of the world continues to shift to remote and hybrid work. You’ll get to own content marketing end-to-end… including helping us avoid using jargon like end-to-end. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, your work will be highly visible, cross-functional, and play a huge role in telling the story of the future of work.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Create, own, and drive the content strategy to build thought leadership for Switchboard and develop valuable resources and inspiration for remote and hybrid workers

  • Help develop our brand voice and write content people can’t resist sharing

  • Understand and shape the role content plays in each step of the customer lifecycle for a product led growth company: from building awareness, to educating about Switchboard, to converting website visitors to customers, and turning customers into advocates

  • Put SEO best practices and A/B testing to work to increase web traffic and optimize content discovery and performance

  • Create a bevy of compelling content and tools (e.g., articles, case studies, videos, emails, webpages, landing pages, interactive tools, etc.) from idea through execution that’s relatable, helpful, and uplifting

  • Develop and implement social media strategy including the creation of original content

  • Create or source designs to help tell the full story

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience for B2B SaaS or enterprise, bonus points for product led growth company

  • Understand the role SEO, social media, email campaigns and PR play in content distribution and traffic growth

  • A really good copywriter and editor with an eye for blog posts and landing pages that don’t read like they’re optimized for SEO (but are)

  • Ability to own the planning and the execution, down to the final details

  • Data-driven and used to tracking the impact of your efforts

  • Familiarity with Figma and a high level of comfort creating designs from templates for blog posts and social media. (Got the skills to design them yourself? Even better.)

  • Enough knowledge of Webflow, or similar tool, to publish blog posts and edit website pages

  • Can art direct videographers and graphic designers

  • Experience working with customers to create co-branded content

  • Creative and curious approach to everything you do
