Scientist TCR Discovery at T-knife

Sharesta Khoenkhoen has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical sciences and research. They began their career in 2006 as a Kitchen Assistant at PC Zorggroep Rijnmond and later worked as a Nurse Assistant at Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland from 2009 to 2014.

In 2012, Sharesta worked at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment as a Bachelor thesis student, where they conducted research on the detection of SNPs in influenza A viruses. Sharesta then gained further research experience as a Research Intern at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, investigating the role of CD8 T cell epitopes in immunity to intracellular infections.

Sharesta continued their research journey with positions at the RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, where they worked as a Research Intern on the development of PCR and sequencing assays for influenza B viruses and the detection of enteroviruses in clinical specimens.

From 2014 to 2020, Sharesta was associated with the Karolinska Institutet, initially as a Research Intern in the field of infection and immunity, and later as a PhD student. During this time, they also completed a Master's thesis at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) under the supervision of T. Booiman, focusing on infection and immunity.

In 2020, Sharesta joined the Karolinska Institutet as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and in 2022, they joined T-knife Therapeutics as a Scientist TCR Discovery. Their work experience showcases a strong background in biomedical research and a progression in their career in scientific roles.

Sharesta Khoenkhoen has an extensive education history. Sharesta started their academic journey in 2002 at Marnix Gymnasium in Rotterdam, where they pursued a VWO degree specializing in Cultuur en Maatschappij & Natuur en Gezondheid. After completing their VWO in 2008, Sharesta went on to Utrecht University.

At Utrecht University, Sharesta obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, which took place from 2008 to 2012. Building upon their bachelor's degree, they then pursued a Master of Science degree in Infection and Immunity from 2012 to 2015, still at Utrecht University.

Continuing their academic journey, Sharesta joined Karolinska Institutet in 2015. During this period, they pursued a research-based program and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology in 2020.

In addition to their education, Sharesta has obtained a certification called FELASA C from Universiteit Utrecht. However, specific details such as the month and year of obtaining this certification are not available.
