David Wood is the Vice President of Corporate Development at T2 Biosystems. David has been with the company since February 2019 and in their current role, they are responsible for leading all corporate business development activities. This includes securing contracts from leading Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), establishing strategic commercial partnerships to expand international access, driving the partnering strategy and process for the T2Lyme Panel, and assessing new areas of growth. Prior to joining T2 Biosystems, David was a Director at Covington Associates, a healthcare and life sciences-focused investment bank. David was with the firm from January 2009 to December 2016 and during their time there, they executed M&A, equity financings, and strategic partnerships for emerging/VC-backed and middle market companies. David began their career as a Senior Equity Analyst - Biotechnology at America's Growth Capital in January 2005 and left in December 2006 to join Ferghana Partners as a Senior Associate. David was with Ferghana Partners from January 2006 to December 2009 before joining Covington Associates.

David Wood began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bowdoin College. David then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Molecular Oncology and Immunology from New York Medicine Jobs.

Their manager is John Sperzel, President and Chief Executive Officer. They work with Kelley Morgan - Vice President, Human Resources, Alec Barclay - Senior Vice President, Operations, and Tom Lowery - Chief Scientific Officer.
