Karima Banat

Karima Banat is a Senior Manager at TAFE NSW since December 2022, responsible for the strategic delivery of planning, designing, supporting, and maintaining critical System Groups infrastructure and services. Previously, Banat worked at the NSW Department of Education from February 2000 to November 2021, serving as Director of Infrastructure Application Platforms, focusing on technology platforms to meet organizational goals, and as a Senior Officer leading teams of over 28 technical specialists in managing ICT infrastructure. Banat also held the position of Manager Unix, enhancing and implementing Unix platforms for various corporate systems while ensuring data integrity and security. Banat holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kuwait University, earned between 1981 and 1984.
