Derek Wallace is an accomplished professional in the vaccine development field, currently serving as President of Takeda's Global Vaccine Business Unit since September 2013, where a global team is led in efforts to enhance public health through vaccination. Prior to this role, Derek was Vice President and Global Dengue Program Head at Takeda, overseeing the development and commercialization of the Tetravalent Dengue Vaccine. With extensive experience in clinical development, Derek has held roles such as Global Programme Medical Director at Takeda, where responsibilities included the clinical development of dengue and EV-71 vaccines, and Director of Clinical Development at Sanofi Pasteur, where key studies for dengue vaccine candidates were led.
