Sylvain Besson

Sylvain Besson is an accomplished supply chain and logistics professional with extensive experience in managing complex operations across various industries. Currently serving as Head of Supply Chain and Customer Relations at TAKEDA France since October 2016, Sylvain oversees the entire supply chain process from sales forecasting to distribution, managing a team of five. Key projects include the integration of Shire following its acquisition and the implementation of SAP and S&OP Global systems. Prior to this, Sylvain was responsible for logistics and customer service at GlaxoSmithKline, overseeing supply chain operations for three business units and managing a budget of €10 million. Additional experience includes roles at Habitat and DHL Exel Supply Chain, where Sylvain was instrumental in logistics management and cost reduction initiatives. Sylvain holds a BSc (HONS) in European Logistics Management from The University of Huddersfield and a DUT in Gestion, Logistique et Transport from IUT Châlon sur Saône.
