Stephanie Habif

Stephanie Habif was appointed Vice President, Behavioral Sciences in August 2020. She previously served as our Senior Director of Behavioral Sciences and has overseen the department since December of 2017. Dr. Habif has more than 20 years of experience as a behavioral scientist, leading healthcare teams in the design of consumer engagement to improve outcomes. Prior to joining Tandem, Dr. Habif split her time between industry and academia – most recently as Senior Strategist at The Design Lab UC San Diego, an institute focused on providing research, education and community interaction to advance best practices in human-centered design. She has held faculty appointments at several universities including Stanford, Columbia, and Victoria University of Technology in Australia. Dr. Habif is the founder of Habif Health and Performance LLC, a consulting firm specializing in research, design and strategy for consumer healthcare technologies. Dr. Habif holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College as well as a Doctor of Education in Health and Behavior Studies from Columbia University.
