Duarte Afonso

Duarte Afonso is currently the Director of Operations Strategy and Performance at TAP Air Portugal. Duarte has experience in overseeing data analytics, operational excellence, strategy design, and project management. Duarte also holds various other positions within the airline industry, such as Director of Operations Integrity, Operations Performance Expert and advisor to the COO, and Innovation & Technical Support. Prior to TAP Air Portugal, Duarte founded and worked at Balua Project - High Altitude Balloons, served as Aeronautical Services Superintendent at Emirates, and held positions at TAP Portugal. Duarte holds an Executive MBA from INDEG-ISCTE Executive Education and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
