Deshonta Holmes

Deshonta Holmes, Ed.D, serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Tarrant County College since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in higher education administration. Prior roles include Associate Vice President for Instruction-Efficacy at Odessa College and multiple leadership positions at Tarrant County College and Lone Star College-University Park, where responsibilities ranged from Assistant to the President to Director of Admissions & Outreach. Holmes has a robust academic background, holding a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Science in Biology from Texas Southern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Jackson State University.
