Amy Truong

Amy Truong is currently the VP of Engineering at TaskRabbit. Amy has also served as the VP of Engineering at Patreon and as a Senior Director of Engineering at Planet. Amy began their career as an Engineering Manager at Twitter and Rackspace Technology.

Amy is responsible for an 80-person organization at Patreon that includes Product Engineering, Payments, Infrastructure, Security, and Program Management teams. These teams are distributed across San Francisco, New York, and Dublin. Amy is also the Executive Sponsor for Sprouts (our ERG for working parents) and Engersections (our ERG for underrepresented genders in tech).

During their time at Patreon, some key team accomplishments include building a platform that pays out over $1 billion to artists and creators annually, launching new pricing options with new features (including team accounts, merch, annual memberships), expanding the product internationally by launching it in 4 languages and processing payments in 5 different currencies, and improving team engagement by 13 points from 54% to 67% during the challenging COVID era.

Amy Truong has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
