Sara Strope is the Chief Marketing Officer at TaxJar. Sara has over 15 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on customer success and growth marketing.

Previously, Sara was a board member at MITX, and before that, they were the Director of Growth and Customer Marketing at IBM. In this role, they led customer and growth marketing for all SaaS offerings in IBM's Cloud, Data & Analytics, and AI portfolio. Sara was responsible for increasing total customer lifetime value through retention and expansion campaigns, and for managing the end-to-end client experience.

Before IBM, Sara was the Vice President of Customer Success at Cleantech Group. In this role, they were responsible for leading the customer success team and driving growth through customer retention and expansion.

Sara has a passion for helping companies grow and scale through technology. Sara is a strategic thinker with a track record of delivering results.

Sara Strope has a Master's degree in Public Policy and Social and Economic Development from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA in English and French from Washington University in St. Louis.

Sara Strope reports to Mark Faggiano, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Matt Anderson - Founder & Chief Innovation Officer, Ryan Thompson - CRO, and Elaine Page - VP & Head of People Experience.
