JaWan A. Harris, M.Ed., currently serves as a Leadership Development Coach at Teach For America since March 2022 and has held various roles at KIPP DC since July 2016, including Capital Teaching Resident Coach and Senior Instructor/Grade Level Chair. As the Founder and Program Coordinator of Project: RESTORES from June 2015 to June 2022, JaWan A. Harris directed a team of educators to create STEAM-integrated camp programming for middle school students, while also facilitating reflective practice for camp coordinators. Previous experience includes serving as an Instructional Coach and Biology Teacher at SEED Public Charter School of Washington DC (2008-2016), Instructional Coach and Secondary Science Teacher at Hyde Leadership Charter School (2005-2008), and Chemistry Teacher at Sasha Bruce Youthwork (2004-2005). JaWan A. Harris earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Howard University.
