Sydney Tanner Bay

Sydney Tanner Bay is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience in recruitment and talent development through roles at Teach For America since January 2012, culminating in the position of Senior Managing Director, Recruitment. Sydney has successfully overseen recruitment efforts across multiple states, leading teams to exceed recruitment goals significantly, particularly in diverse and low-income communities. In addition to a strong track record in organizational leadership, Sydney has contributed to educational initiatives as a founder of Detroit Writes Detroit and as a teacher in various capacities. Sydney holds a Master of Arts in Leadership for Educational Organizations from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the same institution, along with a teaching certification from the University of Michigan.
