John O’Shea

John O'Shea has served as Americas at Tech Data since July 2020 In this role, John leads the strategy and execution of Tech Data's Americas business, which includes the US, Canada and Latin America. In addition, he leads two of the company's specialized global businesses — including Security Solutions and Global Lifecycle Management Previously, John served as senior vice president, Global Lifecycle Management (GLM) at Tech Data starting in February 2018. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of Tech Data's GLM business around the world. The GLY team is dedicated to expanding the reach and capabilities of Tech DataS OEM and solutions provider customers with scalable services. Previously, John served as vice president, Global Business Development since March 2016, leading initiatives that drive growth through product expansion, acquisitions, partnerships and alliances. John returned to Tech Data from Vology, a leading managed IT solutions provider, where he served as president since November 2014. Prior to joining Vology as senior vice president, Sales in July 2012, John was with Tech Data for 16 years. During his previous tenure at the company, he progressed through various leadership roles, including vice president, HP Solutions Group and vice president of Product Marketing, Networking. John was named Tech DataS Vice President of the Year in 2011 and was recognized as a Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever by the Hispanic Association on Responsibility in 2012. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from Florida State University.
