Francis de los Reyes III, Ph.D., BCEEM, serves as a TED Fellow at TED Conferences since 2009, actively supporting innovative leaders and changemakers. At North Carolina State University, Francis holds the position of Professor, contributing to academia since 2000. As Chairperson of the Board for Gawad Kalinga USA starting in January 2024, Francis continues to advocate for poverty alleviation through empowerment and leadership development, following a previous role as Area Head at Gawad Kalinga from 2005 to December 2020. Francis was also involved with Filipino-American Performing Artists of North Carolina as a Board Member from 2000 to 2020. In leadership roles, Francis chaired the Board of Directors for the Philippine American Academy of Scientists and Engineers from 2011 to 2012. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, and a BS in Agricultural Engineering from the University of the Philippines.
