Julia B. is an experienced legal and dispute resolution professional currently serving as a Dispute Resolution Practitioner at the New Zealand Human Rights Commission since October 2021. Prior experience includes roles as an Investigator at the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and the Office of the Health and Disability Commissioner, as well as a Resolution Coordinator at FairWay Resolution Limited. Julia B. began their career as a Solicitor at Wells & Co Lawyers and has also worked as a Phone Counsellor for YOUTHLINE Young People's Counselling Service. Educational qualifications include a BA/LLB in Law, Philosophy, and Politics from The University of Auckland, completion of the Professional Legal Studies Course at The College of Law New Zealand, and accreditation as a Mediator through the Resolution Institute. Additional training in Māori mediation was completed through Tūhono Collective.
