Michael Melo

Michael Melo is an experienced procurement and product development professional currently serving as the Director of Global Procurement at Teknor Apex Company since May 2023, where responsibilities include analyzing critical materials and developing supplier relationships. Prior to this role, Michael was the Business Unit Director for Cores at Rebuilders Automotive Supply, overseeing ROI and performance targets with a six-person team. Michael’s earlier experience at Teknor Apex includes managing the $210 million Lawn & Garden business and implementing growth strategies. Additional roles held include Product Manager at Jarden and Product Development Manager at Samsonite. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, along with an Associate’s Degree from Bristol Community College.
