Leire Martinez

Leire Martinez is a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Director of Operations EMEA at Tenneco since June 2016, Martinez oversees operation performance and transformation across multiple manufacturing facilities in Europe and Africa, managing a turnover exceeding $700 million and a workforce of over 3,000 employees. Previous roles at Tenneco include Plant Manager and Focused Factory Leader, focusing on operations performance and production management. Additionally, Martinez is the President and Board Member of ACICAE - Basque Country Automotive Cluster and has a strong background in Lean Six Sigma project implementation from tenure as a Lean Expert at Sisteplant. Early career experiences include project management for automotive industrialization at BATZ GROUP and technological supervision at Grupo Ormazabal. Education includes an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad del País Vasco and an MBA from Universitat de Barcelona.
