Ming Yao Loh

Ming Yao Loh is currently a Staff Data Platform Engineer at Tesco, having joined the company in September 2025. Prior to this role, Ming Yao served at Virgin Media O2 from January 2022 to September 2025, where positions included Head of Cloud Platform Engineering, Lead Data Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, and Data Engineer. Prior experience also includes a role as a Data Engineer at With Intelligence from July 2021 to January 2022, and at Infopro Digital from April 2021 to July 2021, along with a Data Engineer position at ComfortDelGro from November 2020 to April 2021. Ming Yao began a career in engineering as a Compliance Engineer at Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited from July 2019 to November 2020 and held a Student Intern position there in early 2018. Ming Yao holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering (Honours) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, completed in 2019, and a Diploma in Aerospace Electronics from Singapore Polytechnic, earned in 2013, with additional education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2018. Early education was completed at Nan Hua High School between 2006 and 2009.
