Joel Schacht

Joel Schacht serves as the Deputy General Counsel for EMEA & Infrastructure/CapEx at Tesla since May 2020, leading the legal team for infrastructure and capital expenditures while supporting global teams in engineering and manufacturing. Prior to this role, Joel held various positions at Tesla, including Associate General Counsel and Managing Counsel for Gigafactory Berlin, where efforts focused on establishing Tesla's first production footprint in Europe. Before joining Tesla, Joel was Senior Legal Counsel at Huawei, overseeing the launch of the company’s first direct consumer channel in Western Europe, and held several legal counsel roles at Apple, providing support across marketing, communications, and retail operations in the EMEIA region. Joel's educational background includes degrees from The American University in Cairo, Università degli Studi di Firenze, and Universität Osnabrück.
