Jaime Nodarse Barrera

Jaime Nodarse Barrera is currently the VP of Institutional Advancement at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Jaime has dedicated their career to community outreach and development, with a focus on grant writing, fundraising, and quality improvement.

Jaime's journey in community outreach and development began in 2006 as a Teaching Assistant and Social Marketing Researcher at the University of South Florida. There, they discovered their passion for working with others to create positive change. Jaime then spent a year as an Admissions Officer at Lawrence University before moving on to bigger projects.

In 2009, Jaime became the Director of Resource Development and Quality Improvement at Amistad Community Health Center. There, they oversaw grant writing, community outreach, and fundraising while also implementing a culture of quality improvement. Jaime's work helped Amistad secure over $1 million in grants during their tenure.

In 2012, Jaime left Amistad to become a Health Policy Legislative Aide at the Texas State Capital. In this role, they worked with state legislators to develop policies that would improve the health of Texans. After a year at the State Capital, Jaime returned to the University of South Florida to complete their Masters in Public Health.

Jaime Nodarse Barrera's experience and dedication to their work has made their an invaluable asset to Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Her commitment to quality improvement and community outreach has helped the university secure millions of dollars in funding and improve the lives of countless students.

Jaime Nodarse Barrera has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Lawrence University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Medical Anthropology, Community and Family Health from the University of South Florida.
