Sara Morgan

Director, South Texas Institute for the Arts at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi

Sara Morgan is the Director of the South Texas Institute for the Arts at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Sara has held this position since January 2009. Prior to that, they were the Stewardship Coordinator for Institutional Advancement at the university from January 2009 to December 2013.

Before their work in higher education, Morgan was the Managing Owner of Morgan Financial Services, a position they held from 2001 to 2009. There, they developed and executed marketing programs and general business solutions that led to increased company exposure, customer traffic, and sales.

Morgan began their career in the art world as an Art Consultant at James Gallery from 1989 to 1990. Sara then moved to L.A. Louver, where they worked as a Gallery Assistant from 1987 to 1989. In their final position before joining Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, they were a Project Manager at Rogow and Bernstein from 1986 to 1987.

Sara Morgan has a post graduate certificate in museum leadership from the Museum Leadership Institute and a bachelor's degree in art history, criticism and conservation from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Their manager is Kelly M. Miller, President & CEO. They are on a team with Jon Palumbo - Director, Islander Athletics, Clarenda Phillips - Provost & VP, Academic Affairs, and Ahmed Mahdy - VP, Research & Innovation.
